Originally a motor court hotel, The Belmont located in West Dallas has served guests for 74 years. However, after decline led to its closure, the hotel was in need of a brand refresh to support its reopening. This new branding system uses a custom typeface that reflects the building’s modern, geometric curves. The color palette and patterns pull inspiration from the vision of the architect, Charles Dilbeck, referencing the building’s “California Style” with Spanish influences. The purpose of the brand’s new identity is to modernize The Belmont and preserve its history, allowing it to stand as a lasting marker of Dallas culture.
